Everyone has at least one hat, a sun hat, a beanie, something that’s practical or maybe just cute. I have a pile of cheap little hats myself. So why buy a handmade hat? Perhaps its for a special occasion like a wedding or an event where you get to look your fabulous best. Many of my hats are for everyday but with a difference. Your hat can show your personality and be an expression of who you are. That can make you feel good. Thats why you buy a handmade hat.

All the hats at Little Brown Cat are made by hand, by me, using traditional millinery methods. This is why hats are expensive, it takes many hours of work to make a hat by hand but it will give you a hat that will last you many years. Each hat is different. Although I will happily make a similar hat for an order, no two will be exactly the same.

I will also try to keep a range of hats available that may use machine stitching in order to keep the price lower but still keeping it a quality hat. In this range I will be happy to make more of the same look.

The felt hats come in two types, one is wool felt and the other is fur felt. The fur gives a smoother finish and is more expensive but the wool is a more “vegetarian “ friendly material and still makes a fabulous hat.

I am happy to combine postage if i works out cheaper for you. I am also very happy to post overseas so please contact me for postage costs.
